When i first stumbled upon this video late last month, i thought it was really cool and a genius way of animation. I even thought it looks kinda easy too..hhmmm. Using the basic elements of animation with just a bicycle wheel. Anyways, Saatchi & Saatchi of Geneva made this really cool campaign for AIDS called Africa is Moving. They collaborated with British animation student Tim Wheatley who made this Cyclotrope film that went viral online. You can check Tim's Cyclotrope Project here.
The cyclotrope is a cycle of 18 images that is spun at a certain speed so that the frame rate of the camera filming it gives the illusion of animation.That is just really cool.
